Cedar City, Utah

Named after the Ute indians, the name Utah means, "Top of the Mountains" where the beautiful city of Cedar City lies. Located in central Utah, many flock to this region to participate in the annual Shakespear festival, either to in the show or to watch. The theatrical department of the Southern Utah Univeristy is well known for it's success and devlopment of the many graduating students in that field. The university has a variety of majors for those who wish to participate. If you love the outdoors, your surroundings here will be your sanctuary. The geology tells a story of it's own life that has lasted for millions of years. Take to the slopes and ski till you drop at Brian head. Take a trip to neighboring national parks. And the city of lights, Las Vegas, is only two and a half hours away.

Wasilla, Alaska

If the tropics are your place for vacation only, but prefer less sun, I recommend a trip up north. The Alaskan environment may just be your thing. Wasilla is a beauiful place north of Anchorage. Surrounded by lakes, you will have every opportunity to exercise your fishing pole, you hiking legs, or your canoeing/kayaking arms. Or just sit back and absorb the beauty. There is plenty to do all year around. Watch or even participate in sled dog races. Too old fashsion, then get out your snowmobiles and explore for miles and miles. Hop on a boat and head out to sea to see spectacular whales make their journey across the vast ocean. Take a trip to Independence Mine State Historic Park and learn about the days of mining. Take your own equipment and do some recreational panning for gold. It's out there, you just got to find it. Wasilla is a great place to grow up, retire, or benefit from it's economical prospects.

Fenton Michigan

Just 50 miles to the northwest of Detroit lies the quaint little city of Fenton. Originally it was settled by Clark Dibble and named Dibbleville in 1834. Later William Fenton and Robert Leroy purchased land there in 1837 and named the location Fentonville. William Fenton went on to become the Lieutenant Governor of Michigan and the town took the name Fenton in 1863. The city still has many of it's old buildings which give a delight of antiqueness and history to it. Take a walk through the park in the center of town along the Shiawassee River and enjoy a picnic in a fun little gazebo. Come winter time, take out the snowmobiles for longer than just a couple of months, and ride free in the gorgeous countryside.
